After School Activities/Classes

Breakfast Book Club

Breakfast Book Club is for students who love to read and are in grades 1-5. Students meet on the last school calendar Thursday of each month from 8:00am - 8:40am . Parent volunteers facilitate the discussion and help with setup and breakfast. Students look forward to the great age appropriate books that are chosen and discussions after a book/chapters have been read during these meetings. Students also receive an office book club T-shirt.

Drama Club

The Drama Club (see website) is an after school enrichment program for 4th and 5th grade students. The Drama Club meets every Thursday after school. The club utilizes theater games to teach drama skills of characterization, pantomime, projection, etc. Our goal is to put on two productions this year utilizing the skills learned in the games, as well as exploring theater craft (i.e. sets, costumes, sound and lighting design).

Instrumental Music

The instrumental (see website) music teacher provides weekly group lessons to 4th and 5th grade students who are interested in learning to play an instrument. Beginning and advanced instrumental programs are offered.

Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade learn how to read and sing music of various styles, proper singing techniques, and gain performance experience.  Term 1 is August - December.  Term 2 is January - May.  A donation of $60 is asked for each term.  Rehearsals are Friday mornings before school.

Safety Patrol

Fifth grade students have the opportunity to help their school community by becoming members of the safety patrol. The students must write an essay that indicates why they feel they have the qualifications to be on the safety patrol. Selected students participate in an after school training session and take a written test on school safety rules. Students are assigned to help with traffic duty either before or after school.

Coyote creek run club

 Coyote Creek Run Club

The Run Club is open to all students, parents, siblings, teachers and staff!

When:  Every Wednesday and Friday (weather permitting)

Time:              8:10am

The Coyote Creek Run Club meets every Tuesday & Thursday morning from 8:15-8:40am unless inclement weather does not allow us to run. (Heavy rain, very cold temperatures).  It is open to all students to run laps around our track before school. Students can earn different charms depending on how many laps they run. We play music as the students run, and offer water or Gatorade to all our participants. Our goal as a school is to run across the US from San Ramon to Maine – a distance of 3450 miles! Running is a great way to start your day, get some exercise, and keep your body healthy! We hope to see many students and parents taking part in our run club. We are also looking for parent volunteers to help with tracking laps for our runners. Please email Mr. Ackermann at  if you are able to volunteer. Looking forward to seeing you out there!

CUB Scouts

Cub Scouting is filled with fun, friends, and family.  Outdoor adventures await!  We welcome boys and girls entering kindergarten to fourth grade. Join us for activities year-round which include campouts, hikes, STEM program, life skills and community service projects. Visit for more information.

Girl Scouts

Is your girl missing her school friends? Is she craving social connections?

Girl Scouts can help with that!

Right now, we are hearing from parents that their girls are missing out on social development, interactions outside the classroom, and being able to choose their activities.

In Girl Scouts, your girl will have the opportunity to meet with friends from school, develop sisterhood and friendship, and have fun in a non-classroom setting.

Come along to a Girl Scout party, where your girl can play, socialize and experience a taste of Girl Scouts, and adults can learn what all the fuss is about!

Let us know you’re interested and we’ll reach out with more information!
